The Challenge
A three-centre childcare group had grown by acquiring two existing centres, each with its own internet, sign-in tablet, CCTV recorder, and admin software. Staff couldn't move between centres without re-credentialling, the CCTV at one centre had been offline for three weeks before anyone noticed, and the parent communication app dropped out daily. The group also faced a National Quality Standard audit in 90 days.
What We Did
We replaced the three patchwork networks with a unified, monitored mesh — business-grade NBN at each centre, 5G failover, professional Wi-Fi covering every play space and outdoor area, and a single cloud identity so educators can walk into any centre and just work. CCTV was migrated to a centrally-monitored cloud platform with automatic alerts if a camera drops. Sign-in tablets, parent app, and admin software now all run on a unified, secured network with appropriate segmentation between staff, parents and CCTV traffic.
